Online Educational Programs and Events
Your gift supports the expansion of our popular online lectures and gives birth to a new “hands-on history” program that explores the diverse ways to preserve local and global Community of Christ history. Alma Blair Internship Program Your gift funds this young adult internship program and new opportunities to preserve the past through oral history interviews, processing archival collections, documenting field history, and breaking ground on new archaeological investigations at Liberty Hall. Preserving Community of Christ Historic Sites Your donations support the maintenance and preservation efforts of all three Community of Christ historic sites including: Joseph Smith III’s Liberty Hall (Lamoni, Iowa), Plano Stone Church (Plano, Illinois), and Heritage Plaza (Independence, Missouri). Your generosity helps us continue to host bus tours and youth caravans at these historic sites in addition to hosting online programs that share Community of Christ’s rich heritage. More Opportunities to Experience the Past In addition to supporting our popular annual bus tour, your gift supports new opportunities for guests to experience church history through weekend events designed for those looking for shorter getaways to the historic sites. New educational programs and walking tours will offer visitors of all ages the opportunity to experience church history in the places where it happened.
